Rawalpindi: WASA to launch 6 water schemes
RAWALPINDI: Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has decided to start six new water schemes worth Rs 4.946 million in different areas of the city. A WASA official said the agency would spend Rs 59,300 on repair of pipelines from Dhoke Piracaha to HR Chowk and Rs 59,300 on restoration of turbine pump of tube well No 109. He said that installation of a pump in tube well No-III near Raja Mohallah would cost Rs 650,00 to the WASA. The official said the agency would construct two underground tanks, having capacity to store 5,00,000 and 1,00,000 million gallons of water, at a cost of Rs 3 million to supply water to the city residents uninterruptedly. He said the WASA had earmarked Rs 0.981 million for installation of four mini water filtration plants. online
