Pakistan and Kuwait Seal Seven Multi-Billion Dollar Investment Pacts

Pakistan and Kuwait have inked seven agreements aimed at attracting multi-billion-dollar investments from the State of Kuwait across diverse sectors. These agreements encompass vital areas for Pakistan's development, including Food Security/Agriculture, Hydel Power, Water Supplies (ensuring safe drinking water and supporting mining activities), the establishment of a Mining Fund to boost the mineral industry, Technology Zones Development, and Mangrove Preservation.

The signing ceremony took place during a meeting between Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Interior of Kuwait, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Ahmad Al Sabah, on Wednesday. Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir was also present at the meeting. Additionally, three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in the fields of culture & art, environment & sustainable development were also signed.

The leaders emphasized the historical brotherly ties between the two nations and expressed the mutual desire to strengthen these bonds by evolving them into a mutually beneficial economic partnership. They expressed satisfaction with the current trajectory of relations, committing to close contact and swift actions to further enhance Pakistan-Kuwait relations.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan hailed these agreements with Kuwait as another milestone in the achievements brought about by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) platform in the country.
