Lahore: LDA removes 70 illegal gates in Iqbal Town
LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has removed 70 illegal iron gates in Allama Iqbal Town. These iron gates hindered traffic flow and pedestrians.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday, the LDA removed the gates from College, Hunza, Umar, Raza, Sikander, Ravi, Nargis, Zeenat and Kamran blocks. The statement said the LDA had also urged residents to voluntarily remove all encroachments. It said it had informed them that if they failed to remove them, they would have to pay demolition charges and would also be charged under Sections 33, 34 and 40 of the LDA Act, 1975. http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp...009_pg13_8 |
