Pakistan win international kabaddi tournament

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan won the Benazir Bhutto International Kabbadi Tournament after beating Italy Club 30-16 in the final, which was witnessed by a big crowd, at Kharian on Saturday evening. The tournament, jointly organised by Pakistan Kabaddi Federation and Overseas Pakistanis Kabbadi Lovers Association (OPKLA), was participated by the clubs of Italy, England, France, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Germany. Pakistan Kabaddi Academy (PKA) team and the national outfit of Iran also took part in the event. In the semi-finals, Pakistan defeated Germany 46-23 while Italy overcame England 51-27. A cash prize of Rs 150,000 was presented to the winners while Rs 100,000 were paid to the other teams as participation fee. Three motorcycles were also gifted to the top performers of the tournament.
