Clocks to be advanced by one hour tonight
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will adopt the Daylight Saving Time (DST) tonight by advancing the clocks by an hour at midnight. According to a cabinet decision, the country would advance its time today (April 15th) and the nation would be six hours ahead of the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) instead of the present five hours. Pakistan has the electricity generation capacity of 14,343 megawatts (MW), out of which hydropower generation contributed 6,444 MW. The country currently has a power deficit between 2,000 MW and 2,500 MW. online
