ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has approved one-third of the total import of wheat through Gwadar Port.

The Joint Secretary of Ministry of Shipping and Ports while talking to Geo news said the wheat import via Gwadar Port in August would mark the commencement of operations at the port.

He further said that the handling charges of ships are lower compared to those of Karachi Port.
