PIA issues directions for all passengers at local airports

The PIA has directed its passengers to reach airports at least two and a half hours before domestic departure time and four and a half hours before the international departure time; so as not to miss the flight due to detailed security checking. According to a press statement issued on Thursday, Airports in Pakistan have been put under high security alert. Passengers and luggage are being scanned and searched at each entry points to ensure public safety. Furthermore, all vehicles have to go through security screening before entering the airport premises. To maintain the schedule of departures, the PIA check-in counters close 45 minutes before departure time for international flights and 35 minutes before domestic departure time for domestic flights.
