Islamabad: Kundi wants timely completion of CDA projects
ISLAMABAD: The timely accomplishment of projects of national importance is a superb service and any slackness to this effect is intolerable, said National Assembly (NA) Acting Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi on Thursday while chairing the meeting of NA House and Library Committee at Parliament House. The meeting was held to review progress in various projects of repair and maintenance being carried out by Capital Development Authority (CDA) at Parliament House and Parliament Lodges. CDA Acting Chairman and Director General (Works) told the meeting that renovation work of Parliament Lodges and Parliament House was underway and would be accomplished timely. He said the seepage of water in the lodges was a recurring phenomenon and would be addressed permanently. Kundi directed the CDA acting chairman to expedite work on the projects to ensure their completion within the stipulated time. He said security matters and quality of services should not be compromised while completing the repair works of Parliament Lodges and Parliament House. MNAs Shaukatullah, Syed Haider Ali Shah, Belum Hasnain, Noor Alam Khan and Riaz Fatyana attended the meeting, expressing dissatisfaction with the pace of repair and maintenance work. app
