Global survey finds Pakistani job market attractive

KARACHI: Pakistan is a robust nation, which is faced with great challenges with its internal political uncertainties and regional instabilities, however, it is still doing better than other countries of the world, and is second fastest growing in the Asian job markets. Country manager of Antal International Network Pakistan, Shoaib Siddiqi said the latest survey result is an evidence of growth potential in our job market. According to global survey, the outlook for managers and professionals remains positive with hiring levels rising to 70 percent from 65 percent recorded in our last snapshot in September 2009. Pakistan is a key participant of this survey, which taps its global resources, through 6000 surveys of individuals in key positions across 30 countries to bring these results. On the other side, the percentage of organizations shedding staff has risen from 35 percent to 53 percent indicating some underlying instability in the jobs market, mainly due to political reasons. staff report
