LDA begins purchasing land for new housing project
Saturday, February 01, 2014 - Lahore—The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has started process of purchasing land for launching its new mega housing project LDA-City measuring at least 45000 Kanals.
The proposed project would be launched on Ferozepur Road- Gajjumatta Road and private land falling in the jurisdiction of Moaziat (villages) Kahna Nau, Halloki, Tha Panju , Kahna and adjacent areas would be acquired for developing housing scheme. LDA already has signed agreements with several development partners after their registration and authorised them to purchase land from the private owners. These development partners would sale the land to LDA after fulfilling all legal requirements. LDA would purchase the land only from the registered companies and start development work to launch the scheme for general public. LDA management has established a separate wing Directorate of Estate Management-II (DEM) to regulate the affairs of the LDA-City which would be the largest housing project in the city after 12 years as LDA-Avenue -I had been launched in 2002. DEM-II Director Usman Ghani told APP here Friday that only litigation free land would be purchased through the registered firms after which topographical survey ,demarkation of plots and development works would be initiated. —APP |
