Lahore: 2 injured Palestinians arrive for treatment at Jinnah hospital
TWO patients from Gaza, Palestine injured during Israeli bombardment have arrived here on Sunday for their treatment at Jinnah Hospital.
Allama Iqbal Medical College/Jinnah Hospital Principal Prof Dr Javed Akram informed that the first batch of patients, Ismail al-jouadi and Nabil al-jouadi, with kidney and chest injuries accompanied by an attendant each had arrived in Lahore and would be admitted to Jinnah Hospital. A kidney transplant operation would be conducted upon one of the patients whose one kidney was ruptured during the war. He said that the hospital’s administration would manage all the treatment costs including surgeries, medicines and food. They would be kept in private rooms at the hospital and well-wishers could present their wishes, cards, flower bouquets, etc. He further informed that the other patients would also be arriving in Lahore after certain duration subject to their immigration clearance by the Palestine and Pakistan authorities. It is worth mentioning here that a Jinnah Hospital’s medical team had also been dispatched to Gaza during the war for the treatment of injured patients, but they were denied entry into Palestine at the Egypt-Palestine border. http://www.thenews.com.pk/daily_detail.asp?id=174549 |
