Public transport route 138 opened
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration will provide the best and affordable transport facilities to the city residents, said Chief Commissioner Fazeel Asghar while inaugurating new public service route 138 at Ali Pur Frash on Thursday. According to a press statement, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Amer Ali Ahmed, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Aasia Gul and Islamabad Transport Authority (ITA) Rana Akbar Hayat were present on the occasion. The route 138 will start from Ali Pur Frash and culminate at Metro Sector I-10 after passing through Tarlai, Khanna Pul, Zia Masjid, Jinnah Town, Faizabad, Pindora, Khayaban-e- Sir Syed and Pirwadai Morr. This route service will benefit the population of eight union councils and redress their transport problems effectively, the DC said, adding, the ICT administration was taking concrete measures to solve citizens’ transport problems on priority basis. The chief commissioner said the ICT administration would also run air-conditioned coaches on this route with reasonable fares for commuters. staff report
