ISLAMABAD: The Intel Pakistan Corporation in collaboration with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and National Database and Registration Authority on Thursday launched a programme to provide employment opportunities and increase IT awareness and PC use in the country.

The programme offers a low-cost telecentre starting from Rs33,000, while the Nadra will contribute to it by facilitating these telecenters as per conditions of e-sahulat franchise scheme.

David Fosberg, regional director Intel World Ahead Programme for Asia Pacific, said the initiative aims to bring self-employment opportunities for the unemployed.
