Karachi: 342 parks constructed in last 3.5 years: Kamal

City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that Haq Parast City Government had constructed 342 parks over the last three years-and-a-half in Karachi. Huge and beautiful parks like Bagh Ibne Qasim and family parks at the town level were providing best recreational facilities to citizens closer to their homes.

He expressed these views while addressing a huge public meeting in the KBR Society, North Nazimabad, after the inauguration of 2.5acres Shuhada-e-Haq Family Park on Sunday.

The Nazim, Karachi, said that it was relatively easy to construct a park compared to fighting and wresting land from the possession of the powerful land Mafia and then constructing it. Despite this, the Haq Parast leadership had carried out this job well during last few years and gifted beautiful parks to the public after recovering prized land from the possession of powerful land mafia in Karachi.

He said that the KBR Society previously did not have a park. MPA Imamuddin Shahzad had this park constructed at a cost of Rs10 million from his own funds. The Nazim, Karachi, said that dozens of more parks will be completed over the next month or two.
