MoIP spending more than Rs 5bn in Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Industry and Production (MOIP) is spending more than Rs 5 billion of the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) in different development projects relating to the Balochistan province. Advisor to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, expressed these views during a meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister, Sardar Aslam Raesani, here on Tuesday. The advisor said the government was giving priority to the development of Balochistan. Secretary Industries Shahab Khawaja, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Nasir Khosa, Education Minister Balochistan , Finance Minister Balochistan and Senior Officials of Ministry of Industries and Production also attended the meeting. Wattoo further told the CM that Pakistan Gems and Jewelary Development Company (PGJDC), a subsidiary of MOIP was setting up a Gems Laboratory and a Gems Centre in Balochistan with a total cost of Rs 118 million. staff report
