Pindiites to get additional water from Rawal Dam
RAWALPINDI: Residents of Rawalpindi would start receiving additional four million gallons (MG) of water from Rawal Dam from April 15, Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director Chaudhry Naseer Ahmed said on Monday.
He hoped the situation would improve with increase in the water supply. He added that 19 million gallons of water was already being supplied to residents daily from the Dam, while five million gallons of water was being supplied from the Khanpur Dam. He said that presently around 270 tube wells were operational in the city supplying 28 million gallons of water. He clarified that there was no water shortage in the city. However, he added that unannounced load-shedding was causing problems in some areas. online |
