Islambabd : CDA is focusing on issues of I- Series Sectors
Islamabad—The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is taking effective measures to resolve the chronic issues in the most populated “I” Series Sectors as these sectors have been neglected in the past by the successive regimes.
CDA would address the complaints of the residents at their doorsteps on priority. Chairman CDA, Nadeem Hassan Asif said this while visiting Sector I-10 to address the complaints of the residents here at Water Supply Office of CDA in Sector I-10 on Saturday. All members of the CDA Board and officers of different formations of the authority were also accompanying Chairman CDA during his visit. Attending the complaints of residents of Sector I-10, Chairman CDA said, “we will address the complaints of the public at their doorsteps on priority to save their precious time. CDA is being focusing on issues of I-Series Sectors so that the residents could be provided with quality civic facilities. These are the most populated sectors of the capital city and we would resolve the problems of these sectors on priority”, said Chairman CDA. Nadeem Hassan Asif said that one of the major issues of the Islamabad was shortage of water supply. As the population in the federal capital is growing at faster pace and we are working on a plan for supply of water from Tarbela Dam to meet the demand of water in the city, Chairman CDA said. Trader’s community of Sector I-10 has expressed their concern over the issue of encroachments; however, the residents praised CDA efforts for removal of encroachments from markets and Markaz I-10 and showed satisfaction as these were the main hurdles in the way. Chairman CDA asked the traders community for cooperation and support to overcome the issues and to make Islamabad a model city. He also said that next time CDA will carry out operation against the encroachments after due consultation with the traders community to remove these encroachments from government’s land in a planned and phased manner. The residents of sector also lodged their complaints about the water supply and sewerage system. On this occasion Chairman CDA directed Member Engineering for redressel of all such complaints on priority. |
