GCC keen to invest in agriculture sector
KARACHI: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries have expressed their interest to invest in the agriculture sector of Pakistan and have submitted proposals to the government of Pakistan in this regard. Head WTO Cell, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Mujeeb Khan, on the sidelines of a WTO Workshop hosted by TDAP, said that Pakistan was a more lucrative destination for investment in agriculture sector as compared to India and investors from many countries were willing to invest in Pakistan. He said that GCC countries have submitted their proposals with the government of Pakistan in this regard and added that the same were under consideration.
