Taliban sharia is terrorism, says DG ISPR

ISLAMABAD: The peace deal signed with the Taliban in Swat has provided them an opportunity to re-emerge in the area, and the sharia imposed by them is terrorism, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major General Athar Abbas said on Thursday. Talking to a private TV channel, Abbas said the Taliban had regrouped in Swat as the security forces had changed their strategy after the peace deal. He said the government’s writ was intact in the areas where security forces were present. He said the Taliban had spread so much terror that the locals were ready to cooperate with the security forces to get rid of them. daily times monitor
