Pillars of State (snap of Asif Zardari and CJ)

President Asif Ali Zardari meets Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry at the Presidency on Friday. Sources said the two discussed speedy dispensation of justice and rule of law in the country. The president assured the chief justice the government was committed to the independence of judiciary and would fully cooperate with it to ensure rule of law and supremacy of the constitution. The president praised the National Judicial Policy enforced from June 1 and hoped the policy would strengthen the judicial system and address the grievances of litigants. app
