Land selected for people’s housing scheme

KARACHI: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh and Chief of Peoples Housing Cell Zia-ul-Islam visited Taisar Town, Surjani Town, Gadap Town and Khuda Ki Basti on Wednesday, with members of the Provincial Steering Committee and revenue officials.

He inspected and selected land for the construction of low-cost houses for poor and low income people, under the People’s Housing Scheme. The selected land is in Deh Nagan, Tappa Songal.

During the land inspection, Zia-ul-Islam asked members of the Steering Committee and the officials concerned to ensure that no encroachment takes place, and that a strict watch is kept on the land mafia. He pointed out that the present goovernment and particularly the Sindh Chief Minister eagerly desire that houses for poor and low income people are constructed without any delay so that they can live under their own roofs.

He also said that the manifesto of PPP is that every poor person of the country should have access to food, clothes and housing. app
