Islamabad: CDA to consult citizens on projects planning
ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will consult the Citizens Committee on planning and executing the development projects, improving the provision of civic amenities and reviving the green character of the federal capital. Imtiaz Inayat Elahi, the CDA chairman, said this while chairing a meeting of the Citizens Committee held at the CDA Headquarters here on Friday. Elahi said that the authority was striving to strengthen its financial position and rehabilitate the mechanism to provide the best possible facilities to the residents. He said the green character of Islamabad would be revived, with special focus on preserving environment and increasing afforestation. He said ‘Khuli Kutchery’ system was being revived to get a regular feedback of the residents for resolving the civic issues and initiating new projects. He said the authority would launch a campaign for water conservation in consultation with the citizens so as to minimize its wastage. app
