Do, or the masses will do it

LAHORE - The current strive to prevail upon others in our national political arena in the background of multiplying public woes and nonchalance to them by our rulers, is a hot topic today among the intellectual class of the town, which foresees the country landing into a serious situation if people at the helms of the affairs and the political parties did not take stock of things rising above self interests.
The present government although fell victim to rumours of it being replaced through constitutional and unconstitutional means since inception yet, this factory at present is running in the top gear so much so that prime minister has to publicly snub them all in a manner which did not match his otherwise cool and temperate character. A political alliance is being forged visualizing election next year while public disquietude is on the rise, and this all, however is not without substance and reason which the rulers are not able to see. Bad governance, corruption, appointment of the favourites to the key posts, price hike, dwindling economy, luxuries of the elite rulers, terrorism atop the growing miseries of the flood hit people are the hallmark of the current situation.
The poor performance of government is becoming strength of Pervez Musharraf who despite sowing the seeds of present dismal milieu, has picked up enough courage to talk of return home and lead the nation once again.
“Not only flood and mis-governance but how to steer ourselves out of the American war on terror and frame policies in our own interest, are the major problems hitting the country and keeping the nation on edge”, said justice ® Nasira Javed giving her input on the issue.
Talk of an impending revolution by the frustrated masses in our country, is getting currency in the quarters of major political parties while parties like MQM, are virtually inviting the masses to stand up for this purpose, and this can become a reality if the politicians did not objectively deal with the situation and did the needful. Despondency is increasing in the masses and a political party which speaks and acts in line with the public aspirations can win heart and mind, said principal of a college.
