MA Zuberi passes away
KARACHI: A close aide of Quaid-e-Azam and renowned senior journalist, MA Zuberi, passed away on Sunday. He was 90-years-old and had been suffering from multiple illnesses since many years. Zuberi founded two newspapers, an evening daily The Star and Daily Business Recorder in the mid-60s. He was also the patron-in-chief of a private TV channel. MA Zuberi was born in UP, India, on July 2, 1920. He started his career from Delhi in 1945 and was assigned by the Quaid-e-Azam to publish independence edition of a daily on August 14, 1947. He had a long association with journalism that spanned over 65 years.
His funeral prayers will be offered today after Zuhr prayers and he will be buried in the premises of Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s shrine. |
