Construction of IG Block begins
Islambad : The construction work of the IG Block for the office of Inspector General of Police Islamabad has been started in Sector,G-11/4, Islamabad. The new building for the office of the Inspector General of Police, Islamabad is being constructed in the premises of ICT Administration Block Complex in G-11/4, Islamabad, a spokesman for the Chief Commissioner’s Office said. Chief Commissioner (Islamabad) Tariq Mahmood Pirzada performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the IG Block here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Islamabad chief commissioner said that timely completion of the IG Block would be top priority of the administration and smooth availability of funds would be ensured for the project. The ceremony was attended by the IGP (Islamabad) Bani-Amin Khan, Deputy Commissioner (Islamabad) Amer Ali Ahmed, Director, Development/Finance ICT, Rana Akbar Hayat, SSP (Islamabad) Malik Muhammad Yousaf, CDA Project DirectorAyaz Khan contractor of project and other officials. Earlier, CDA Project Director Ayaz Khan gave a detailed briefing of the project and said that construction of the IG Block would be completed on July 24, 2013 with an estimated cost of Rs60.971 million. Total covered area of the IG-Block would be 15806 sq/ft. The building would have a basement with covered area 3920 Sft, Ground Floor with 5943 Sft area and first floor with 5943 Sft area. It was informed that funds to the tune of Rs23.000 million are available |
