Pakistani exhibitors to enter Gulf’s fashion market
KARACHI: Pakistani exhibitors are expected to participate in the Middle East’s biggest fashion and accessories show, ‘Fashion Arabia and Shoe and Leather Fair’, to be held in Abu Dhabi from 26-28 October 2009.
According to organisers, from the fun and funky to the seriously designer, more than 550 mid to high-end brands and labels from Europe and the Middle East register interest for the hottest and most exclusive fashion event ever to hit the Middle East. “Fashion Arabia and Shoe & Leather Fair Middle East are unique propositions styled for buyers and retailers in the Middle East,” says Christopher Hudson, Managing Director of Mecom Forums, the show organisers. “This is all great news for Pakistani exhibitors wish to join international arena of fashion and accessories,” the organisers said. “They are confident that the downturn in their domestic markets will be countered by the growth opportunities presented by the UAE and the GCC markets - markets renowned for high consumer spending and an insatiable appetite for quality and directional fashion. Many are thinking big and are introducing brands and collections previously unavailable in the GCC to make a major impression on the regions retailers, distributors and media,” organisers said. staff report http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp...2009_pg5_3 |
