PHP takes traffic management charge of highways in Lahore, Faisalabd and Shekhupura

THE Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) will take charge of the traffic management of Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad Highway Roads on Friday (today).

Initially, PHP will launch a public awareness campaign regarding traffic violations on highways.

In the second phase, on spot warning will be issued while, in third phase, fine tickets will be given to the violators. The PHP will not collect the documents but just issue the fine tickets.

The PHP posts in Khanpur and Bhikki of Sheikhupura, Aliabad and Jat Nagar of Nankana and Asgharabad of Faisalabad will also control ten violations in 118 km of its jurisdiction. Speeding, overloading of passengers and goods, without proper light in dark hours, wrong direction driving, mirrors covered with black or tinted paper, careless and negligent driving, underage driving, use of mobile phones while driving and wrong parking or violations of parking rules will be checked.
