Stalled sectors being opened, says CDA chief
ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) is striving to open and develop the stalled sectors to mitigate the sufferings of people owning plots there.
CDA Chairman Imtiaz Inayat Elahi said this on Friday during his visit to Sector I-11, where he inspected progress in ongoing developmental projects. The CDA Engineering, Estate, Planning and Design members and other officers accompanied Elahi. The CDA chairman directed the authorities concerned to complete the projects at the earliest, so that possession of plots could be handed over to their owners. He said timelines would be fixed and monitored regularly for completion of the projects. He directed the Enforcement Directorate to demolish deserted structures to avoid further encroachment. He said the authority had successfully negotiated with the illegal Afghan slum dwellers of Sector I-11, asking them to leave the area immediately. staff report http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp...009_pg11_7 |
