Pakistan and India agree to restore trade
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and India have agreed to restore bilateral trade as part of confidence-building measures, Commerce Secretary Salman Ghani said on Monday.
Talking to a private news channel, he said, “Both secretaries have agreed to restore bilateral trade immediately.” He said Pakistan would do all it takes to increase trade with India. He pointed out that he had held an open discussion on trade with Indian Trade Secretary Rahul Khullar. Trade ties between India and Pakistan would be in the greater interest of the business communities of both the countries, he said, adding that traders on both sides wanted better bilateral trade ties. Ghani said all issues would be tabled once the composite dialogue process resumes. app http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp...2009_pg1_8 |
