CJP inaugurates online case status software
Staff Report
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Monday inaugurated the online case status software on the official website of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, in the Supreme Court Building in the federal capital. The software aims to facilitate both the advocates and the litigants, who can inquire the status of their cases online on a daily basis. The software will allow searches by case number, by parties’ name and by date. The searches will only work on the case fixed for hearing before the court as per final/supplementary cause lists. Through the software, the CJP wishes that each and every case heard by the courts should be made available online. The software has been made under the supervision of Justice Rehmat Hussain Jafri of the Supreme Court. The official website of the Supreme Court also contains information about cases including introduction, branch registries introduction and cause lists. The website also contains information like the names of SC judges and staff, important judgements, judicature acts, the 1980 SC Rules, news and updates, annual reports and National Judicial Policy 2009. http://dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?pag...009_pg7_38 |
