Islamabad: CDA to brief Zardari on plan to invite investors
ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) is likely to give a presentation to President Asif Ali Zardari by end of this month on its plan to attract foreign investment in various sectors of the metropolis. A senior CDA official confided to Daily Times on Sunday that the authority’s Planning Wing would finalise work on the presentation in two to three days. The presentation will be delivered to the president, once the CDA Board has approved it, he said. He said the CDA had planned to seek permission from the government to invite investors by sending its delegation to various countries. However, the official said, the CDA would try to invite the UAE and UK investors. There are a lot of opportunities for investment in the city’s commercial heartland - - Blue Area, different sectors including F-8, F-9, F-12, G-9 and E-11 and near Grand Trunk Road, as land is available in these areas with the CDA, he said. fazal sher
