Mehran underpass: Shifting of utility lines ordered

KARACHI, Oct 15: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed directed the authorities concerned on Monday to immediately start work to shift underground utility lines at the site of the Hotel Mehran underpass so that construction work of this project could be initiated.

Speaking at a meeting, he also instructed the departments concerned to reorganise the traffic management plan for vehicles passing through the site of the underpass at Sharea Faisal.

The proposed underpass would ease the traffic flow at the Hotel Mehran traffic intersection, where long queues of vehicles could be seen during the rush hour
