CDA cancels NOC issued to housing scheme in Sector E-16
Islamabad
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has cancelled the NOC issued for development of the Roshan Pakistan Housing Scheme in Sector E-16, as according to it, the planners of the project were not completing various formalities. The CDA has informed the public and other concerned regarding cancellation of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued to the M/s Roshan Pakistan (RP) Corporation for development of Roshan Pakistan Housing Scheme in Sector E-16, Zone-II of Islamabad, with immediate effect. The CDA spokesman said that action had been taken by civic body because of non-completion of post-NOC formalities even after lapse of more than seven years after issuance of the NOC. He said the CDA has also warned the public in their own interest to refrain from investment, sale and purchase of land or plots in Roshan Pakistan (RP) Corporation Housing Scheme E-16, Zone-II. However, sources said the CDA did not complete the requirements while cancelling the NOC of the housing scheme, including issuance of show-cause notices. The management of the housing scheme had the time till March 2013 to complete development work. The CDA has taken the decision to cancel the NOC of the housing scheme when hundreds of people had made investment of millions of rupees while purchasing plots besides paying for the development charges. Member Planning Syed Mustafain Kazmi, however, rejected the impression that no show-cause notice was issued to the housing scheme, saying that the management of the scheme was not following the layout plan. “The management of the scheme was issued notices many times,” he said. Meanwhile, the CDA has auctioned the toll plaza on I J Principal Road for six months to the highest bidder for Rs321,000, while the toll plaza on G T Road near Rawat had been auctioned for Rs60 million for one year. |
