Sindh CM promises incentives for industry
KARACHI: The Sindh government will provide maximum incentives to craftsmen and industrialists to boost industrial productivity in the province.
Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah underlined the need to promote establishment of industries besides efforts would be made to establish maximum small industrial estates in the province. He said, “Foreign and local investors are coming to Pakistan for establishment of industries at large-scale in Karachi and other places of the province.” He said the medium and small-scale industries would be given priority for which maximum facilities would be provided to industrialists and investors. He said agriculture and industries are the backbone of the economy and it would be the utmost need of the hour to encourage agro-based industries. He said industrial zones would be established while efforts were being made to strengthen the already functioning industrial units. He stressed public-private partnership should be encouraged so that jobs were provided to unemployed youth. The Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce, Rauf Siddiqui briefed about various schemes of industries department. It was decided at the meeting that the Sindh government would start one-window service for the purpose of establishment of industries in the province where departments of revenue, industries, KESC, KW&SB and Sui Gas would provide services and resolve issues immediately.
