‘Scientists have to work for high value crops’

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Nazar Muhammad Gondal Tuesday urged the agricultural scientists to focus on high value crops and planning at national level for strengthening economy. Inaugurating two day national conference on boosting production of dates for export at the National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC), he said date was among the prized fruit with great export potential. He said demand for better quality produce was on increase within the country and abroad and Pakistan has room for improvement in packing and streamlining marketing exists. staff report
