Islamabad: Major change in CDA management ruled out
Official sources have ruled out any major change in the Capital Development Authority in near future.
A senior official of the concerned wing of the government, when contacted by ‘The News’ on Thursday, said that no move to change the CDA chairman was in the offing. “There have been no directives in this regard.” The official, requesting anonymity, said that reports being aired by some television channels (not Geo TV) are absolutely incorrect. “Such reports serve no purpose apart from spreading uncertainty,” he said. There have been rumours about transfer of the CDA chairman for the last few days. “We are not aware of any such move,” a source in the Establishment Division said. The speculations about change in the CDA are being spread at a time when the civic body is about to take up projects of Zero Point interchange and expansion and rehabilitation of Kashmir Highway besides various other development projects. http://www.thenews.com.pk/daily_detail.asp?id=127514 |
