‘China wants to invest in various sectors’: Ambassador of China to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of China to Pakistan, Luo Zhaoui said on Friday that his country, through Pak-China Investment Company Limited, wanted to invest in various sectors in Pakistan including the power sector.

“We want to participate in the economic development of Pakistan through Pak-China Investment Company Limited including the power sector to help our friendly country in the economic progress,” Zhaoui told journalists after attending a meeting of the company on Friday. Chairman Board of Investment and Minister of State Saleem H Mandviwala and Chief Executive of Pak-China Investment Company Limited Chen Jianbo and Ambassador at large Khalil Ahmed were also present on the occasion.

The ambassador of China to Pakistan said that setting up of Pak-China Investment Company Limited in Pakistan was the first joint venture of its kind for carrying out different development projects in Pakistan. staff report
