CDA completes risk assessment of 40 buildings
ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) Fire and Rescue Department has completed the risk assessment of 40 buildings of the federal capital under its recently launched survey. Purpose of the survey is to determine the capacity of buildings to cope with the effects of natural disasters. It also aims at creating awareness among people to take precautionary measures for tackling such uncalled for situations. According to sources, the structures that have gone through the process include Parliament House, President House, Supreme Court of Pakistan, I-9 Industrial Area and others. Risk assessment of government owned educational institutions would be made in the second phase, which is scheduled to start next week. online
