Siemens helping flood victims
Karachi —Siemens Pakistan has responded to the suffering of flood victims by immediately dispatching food hampers and Tarpulin for shelters worth Rs.6 million to the flood effected people around the country.
This aid was handed over to Pak army in Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore. A camp for collecting relief goods and donations from employees has also been set up at the Siemens Industrial complex. The company will match all donations collected. A worldwide campaign has also been launched to collect donations for the flood victims and initially Siemens A.G. has donated Euro 100,000 to the German red cross for mobile medical camps. Siemens Pakistan has formed a committee and drawn a short term and a long term plan to help those effected by the floods. A website has also been created http://www.siemens. |
