Work on two flyovers in Malir begins

KARACHI : The administrator of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has said that construction work on Malir Halt and Malir-15 flyovers has started and a report on soil assessment will be received from a laboratory within two weeks after which the pace of work will be enhanced.

KMC Administrator Rauf Akhtar Farooqui added that the Sindh government had released funds of Rs300 million in first quarter for these flyovers.

He said this while visiting the under construction flyovers on both locations where he was given a briefing on construction works.

Earlier, DG of engineering department Niaz Ahmed Soomro gave a briefing and said that Malir-15 flyover would be constructed with a cost of Rs532 million whereas Malir Halt flyover with a cost of Rs386 million. He said the pace of work would be enhanced after receiving the soil testing repor
