CDA chairman inspects ongoing expansion work

ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority Chairman Maroof Afzal visited the Kashmir Highway to inspect the ongoing construction and expansion work there.
The chairman on the occasion was briefed on the construction and expansion work.
He was shown the designs of the bridges to be constructed on the highway.
The chairman directed the officials concerned that bridges on the highway should be durable and strong, and be beautified with innovative designs. He reviewed the ongoing construction and expansion work and ordered speedy completion of the task. “There should be no compromise on the standard of the construction work and the project should be state of the art.” The chairman also ordered completion of the project within the stipulated time. He further said that alternative passages should be provided to the motorists during the construction work to ensure smooth flow of traffic on this important highway.
