Punjab: Rs2b for free medicines in next budget

PML-N MPA Zia Ullah Shah has said that the budget of provision of free medicines in government hospitals will be increased from Rs1 billion to Rs2 billion in the next financial budget.

Talking to journalists here Monday, he said besides the free medicines, air conditioners and generators would also be provided by May 15. He praised Nawaz Sharif for constituting a special committee for bringing reforms in the judiciary and termed it a good omen.

Zia said the government is working day and night for the provision of education, health and other basic facilities. He added that a committee had been constituted for the release of the innocent, languishing in jails, and hoped that people would be happy to get justice at their doorsteps.
