APC on Balochistan will be held soon: PM

ISLAMABAD: Development of Balochistan remains the government’s top priority, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Monday.

He was talking to Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani, who called on him at the Prime Minister’s House.

Talking about various development projects initiated by the federal government in the province, the prime minister said they would ensure rapid socio-economic development in the province.

Gilani said measures would be taken to explore the untapped hydrocarbon and mineral deposits in the province. The prime minister said the government would make sure that the people of Balochistan benefit from the exploration of the province’s natural resources.

The prime minister said an all-parties conference on Balochistan would soon be convened, adding that preparations were being made to take all the stakeholders on board in this regard.

The chief minister informed the prime minister about the provincial government’s ongoing socio-economic development activities in Balochistan. The chief minister thanked the prime minister for allocating adequate funds for the province. app
