Two dozen NATO trucks, tankers burnt in Chaman attack

QUETTA: At least two dozen oil tankers and trucks carrying supplies for NATO forces in Afghanistan were destroyed in a rocket attack in Chaman on Sunday.

According to officials, unidentified men fired a rocket on the NATO supply trucks near the Customs House in Chaman. Dozens of tankers and trucks caught fire as a result. Consequently, at least two dozen oil tankers and trucks carrying supplies for NATO forces in Afghanistan were destroyed.

The Frontier Corps cordoned off the area. District government officials told Daily Times that the fire could not be immediately put out due to a lack of fire-fighting facilities in the region. The Chaman district government has only two fire brigade vehicles.
