Clocks to be reverted back from November 1
ISLAMABAD: Clocks across the country will be moved back an hour from November 1, Minister of State for Information Syed Sumsam Ali Bukhari told reporters on Monday. The government has decided to turn the clocks back at 12am on November 1. The clocks had been moved ahead by one hour at midnight on June 1 to maximise the use of daylight and conserve energy through an extra hour of daylight. The government had expected to save 400 megawatts of electricity through daylight saving time (DST). The federal cabinet had approved the decision to move the clocks ahead by one hour to meet the ongoing shortfall of electricity in the country. staff report
