Honda increases car prices

ISLAMABAD: After Indus Motors, Honda Motors Company has also decided to increase prices of its car models ranging from Rs28,000 to Rs39,000 per unit.

According to Geo news, prices with an increase of Rs30,000 went up to Rs1,239,000 for Honda City, Rs1,359,000 for City Auto and Rs1,629,000 for Honda Civic.

Dealers said the price of Civic Auto has reached Rs1,776,000 with an increase of Rs33,000 and price of Civic Auto Sunroof with an increase of Rs39,000 has gone up to Rs1,849,000. All Pakistan Motor Dealers Association Chairman H M Shahzad demanded of the government to take back the rebate in federal excise duty given to car manufacturers as they have increased the car prices again. He said this rebate is causing a loss to the governments’ exchequer on one hand while on other price hike of cars is disappointing buyers.
