ISLAMABAD: Construction of 2,000 flats inaugurated
Federal Minister for Housing and Works Rehmatullah Kakar inaugurated the construction work of 2,000 flats for low-income people in sector I-16 Islamabad.
Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) is constructing D and E type ground plus nine-storey apartments on an area of 132 kanals for which it has obtained no objection certificate besides acquiring 16 acres land. The project will be completed in three to three and half years. Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Kakar said the flats were being constructed under federal government’s measures to provide people houses with the latest amenities. The flats at I-16 include kids play area, speed lifts, standby generators, boundary wall, car parking, separate mail box for each flat, security system, jogging tracks and many more, he added. |
