METRO Cash & Carry holds fashion show
KARACHI: A vivid fashion show was organised by METRO Cash & Carry Pakistan, a renowned chain of wholesale stores here at its local branch Friday night. The show was part of fifth anniversary celebrations of METRO’s entrance into the Pakistani market.
As many as 12 mainstream models, including Alizeh, Zillay, Fia and Sophie, walked on the ramp to present eastern, western and fusion designs from spring and summer collection, available at the stores by seven different brands. Models showed lawn suits, jean items and casual dresses in various soft prints for our hot summer season during the catwalk. METRO Public Relations Manager Qurat-ul-Ain Shahid told Daily Times that a series of fashion shows had been scheduled to attract customers at all five wholesale centres of the METRO throughout the country in connection with its fifth anniversary celebrations. The celebrations were being observed from May 26 and will continue till June 10. Shahid said that earlier fashion shows had been arranged at Faisalabad and Islamabad while the grand finale will be held at Lahore on June 10. Talking about the fashion products, Shahid said that METRO managed to make available about 120 designs of several renowned brands at their wholesale centres. “To involve our customers in the celebrations, we have specially invited top 300 buyers and their families, which shows METRO is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its successful operations in the country with its customers,” Shahid said. Public relations manager further said that the METRO had also introduced offers for its general customers on the occasion. Buffet vouchers were provided to each family, which purchased items worth Rs 8,000 and above from the store, she added. A large number of customers and spectators enjoyed the event and appreciated the show. METRO Cash & Carry is an international leading self-service wholesale operator with sales of around 31 billion euros in 2010. It has been operating about 700 stores in 30 countries. |
