NHA projects be completed as per int’l standards: Alamgir
Islamabad—Federal Minister for Communications Dr. Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil has paid sudden visits to various areas of the country and issued directives to complete all ongoing National Highway Authority (NHA) projects as per international standards. He reached Sukkur on Thursday where he reviewed progress on Sukkur, Shikarpur and Jacobabad projects and later inspected construction work on the projects included in the Larkana Package, said a press release issued here. On this occasion, NHA General Manager Syed Shabbir Ali Shah, Aziz Langah and other high officials were also present. The Federal Minister told the concerned officials that no compromise will be made on quality and pace of work and neither any laxity nor negligence, inefficiency will be tolerated in this regard. Talking to media, Dr. Arbab Alamgir Khan said development process throughout the country is in progress without any discrimination or prejudice because we want to alleviate the deprivations of the people. Arbab Alamgir Khan said that he was personally inspecting each and every project of NHA in Sindh on directive of President Asif Ali Zardari so that these projects could be completed in time as per international standards. The Minister said that the government of PPP is fulfilling all the promises made to the people. He further said the nation is fully aware that despite limited resources we have put country on the road to progress and with the Grace of Allah! we will solve all the problems being faced by the people, the minister added. |
