CDA hands over 35 acres land to PCB for cricket ground
Islamabad—The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is taking steps to create recreational facilities in the federal capital to provide opportunities for healthy activities to the people, particularly the youth, said Engineer Farkhand Iqbal, Chairman, CDA. Farkhand said that CDA has handed over 35 acres of land to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the construction of first international standard cricket stadium.
“Islamabad is one of the beautiful cities in the world and all out efforts would be made for providing international standard sports facilities. Youth is the real asset of a society and sports activities would keep them away from all kinds of negative activities, he added. He said that completion of the project of cricket ground would provide extra opportunities to youth of Rawalpindi and Islamabad to show their talent. |
